StartCare — 55th Anniversary Gala Projection Experience

The Brief

For StartCare’s 55th anniversary celebration, I was commissioned to create a custom visual experience that would anchor the brand’s relaunch gala. I transformed a white box venue into an immersive storytelling environment that honored the organization’s rich healthcare legacy.

The Challenge

Hosted at Lavan Midtown, the event space was a blank canvas with multiple projection walls and a large LED screen. The challenge was to develop a cohesive look and feel—beginning with a single mood board—and build it into a complete visual identity that could drive the projection content and the overall aesthetic of the gala.

The Solution

I designed and animated custom 14K motion content across all projection walls and LED surfaces. This surrounding experience featured thematic branding, a historical timeline, sponsor highlights, and emotional visual cues designed to engage guests and elevate the donor experience.

My design system extended beyond video — influencing everything from event signage and vinyl wraps to printed invites and presentation graphics. The result was a seamless visual language that connected content, architecture, and storytelling in one unified experience.

The Impact

The projection-mapped content became the event’s centerpiece, defining its mood and flow while enhancing StartCare’s mission-driven message. The installation was visually stunning and functionally powerful—it educated donors, celebrated legacy, and anchored a new chapter for the organization’s fundraising strategy.

Immersive Content with Purpose
I design projection environments that turn blank spaces into branded, emotional experiences.
