2011 Skrillex Mothership Tour
Realtime Unreal Engine 3d characters – Produced by Image 8 Nineteen Inc.
Working from the client's concepts, we developed and created three real-time character models using 3DS Studio Max. Each character model had several shader material variations for a visual look and feel in Epic's Unreal Engine. Skrillex, wore an Xsens, MVN Animate, motion capture suit that streamed motion data to the real-time models for playback in the Unreal Engine. A trigger hook-up controlled the character mesh selection and allowed for swapping models in real-time, making it an even more fantastic visual experience. The UE scene output got capture into a custom TouchDesigner media server that projected the content output real-time onto the stage structure for a true one of a kind performance.
