NewJeans — Billboard Women in Music Visuals

Overview:
K-pop sensation NewJeans took the stage at Billboard Women in Music to perform “Super Shy” and “ETA” — two tracks with distinct moods and fan energy. I was brought in to pitch and design custom LED screen visuals that captured the group’s playful aesthetic and enhanced the performance for both live and broadcast audiences.

What I Did:

  • Pitched and developed a complete visual system for LED stage screens

  • Designed animated content with pastel skies, Mylar balloons, falling glitter, and stylized transitions

  • Tailored each visual sequence to the tone of the track — light and bubbly for “Super Shy,” moodier and rhythmic for “ETA”

  • Modeled, lit, and rendered 3D elements in Cinema 4D and Redshift, then composited and timed animations in After Effects

Results:
The visuals added charm, rhythm, and dimension to the performance-enhancing choreography, reinforcing NewJeans’ rising star persona without overshadowing the live moment. The final result was a polished, genre-aware stage experience that blended pop visuals with high-impact stage design.
