NewJeans — Billboard Women in Music Visuals
Overview:
K-pop sensation NewJeans took the stage at Billboard Women in Music to perform “Super Shy” and “ETA” — two tracks with distinct moods and fan energy. I was brought in to pitch and design custom LED screen visuals that captured the group’s playful aesthetic and enhanced the performance for both live and broadcast audiences.
What I Did:

Pitched and developed a complete visual system for LED stage screens

Designed animated content with pastel skies, Mylar balloons, falling glitter, and stylized transitions

Tailored each visual sequence to the tone of the track — light and bubbly for “Super Shy,” moodier and rhythmic for “ETA”

Modeled, lit, and rendered 3D elements in Cinema 4D and Redshift, then composited and timed animations in After Effects

Results:
The visuals added charm, rhythm, and dimension to the performance-enhancing choreography, reinforcing NewJeans’ rising star persona without overshadowing the live moment. The final result was a polished, genre-aware stage experience that blended pop visuals with high-impact stage design.
