Game of Thrones — Live Concert Experience Visuals
Overview:
Bring the emotional depth and iconic visuals of Game of Thrones to the live stage, blending music and motion into a singular moment during the Live Concert Experience tour. The creative centerpiece: a cinematic 3D animation of the legendary Weirwood Tree growing across a three-tier LED screen during the track “Goodbye Brother.”
What I Did:
-
Directed a custom 3D animation sequence for live concert visuals
-
Designed the Weirwood Tree to organically emerge from darkness, aligned to musical phrasing
-
Mapped animation across a three-tier LED screen, integrating with live lighting and orchestration
-
Ensured visual pacing matched the tone and emotional arc of the original HBO series
Tools Used:
Cinema 4D · Octane · Forester Plugin
Results:
The Weirwood Tree animation became a powerful visual centerpiece in the show — a cinematic callback to the series brought to life in real-time. Its unfolding branches and glowing red leaves mirrored the emotional build of the score, transforming a fan-favorite theme into an immersive live spectacle.
